Job summary

Aon is recruiting a Broker for the Counter Terrorism team within the Crisis Management practice. You will coordinate marketing and negotiation of terrorism business in Lloyd’s and Company Markets, servicing a worldwide client base on a wholesale and retail basis.

The role involves risk reviews, underwriting presentations, insurer placements, and market relationship management, all within the UK risk framework and regulatory guidelines.

Qualifications

• Proven international terrorism insurance/reinsurance experience.
• Technical knowledge.
• Key carrier underwriter relationship.
• Proven experience in managing effective client relationships.
• Effective communication and presentation skills.
• Excellent understanding of compliance and FCA regulation.

Responsibilities

• Client management and broking for a worldwide portfolio, renewals and new business.
• Review risks proposed, prepare underwriting presentations, and review documentation.
• Placement with insurers, including electronic trading.
• Contribute to portfolio growth.
• Support and lead tenders.
• Manage market relationships and support broking strategy.
• Work within the Aon UK risk framework and complete required training.

Aon is currently recruiting a Broker to join the Counter Terrorism team, which forms part of the wider Crisis Management practice within our Global Broking Centre.

In this role you will be responsible for co-ordinating and contributing to the marketing and negotiation of Counter Terrorism business within the Lloyd’s and Company Markets on a day-to-day basis.

What The Day Will Look Like

• Client management and broking in servicing for a worldwide portfolio of clients produced on a wholesale and retail basis, including both renewals and new business from initial enquiry through to the handing over of the placing slip to the processing/documentation team
• Provide full reviews of the risks proposed, preparation of underwriting presentations, and review of insurance produced by our documentation team
• Placement with insurers, including electronic trading
• Contribute to the growth of the portfolio
• Support and lead tenders
• Proactively manage market relationships and support our broking strategy.
• Responsible for working in accordance with the Aon UK Limited Risk Management Framework, and compliance with our policies, including participation in the management of risks (including completion of required training) that may adversely affect the business, interests or reputation of any Group Company.
