Job summary

Munich Re Specialty - Global Markets in London is seeking an Underwriter for Terrorism & Political Violence. You will underwrite quality Terrorism and Political Violence business, maintain client relationships, and ensure compliance with regulatory and internal procedures.

Reporting to the Group Head of Terrorism and Political Violence, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver robust risk assessment and profitable portfolio performance.

Qualifications

• Understanding underwriting principles and related regulations.
• Knowledge of FCA and Lloyd’s rules, contract certainty.
• Familiarity with terrorism and political violence risks and controls.
• Ability to follow firm procedures and supervise staff within authority limits.

Responsibilities

• Underwrite Terrorism and Political Violence risks within authority limits.
• Develop relationships with Lloyd’s peers and brokers to secure new business.
• Collaborate with Service Company teams to align with global product approach.
• Monitor data and prepare management and risk reports for review.
• Review slips and documents, maintaining thorough records of communications.
• Manage contracts and amendments in line with underwriting philosophy.
