Job summary

Ofcom, the UK's communications regulator, is recruiting for an Associate role in the International Team. You will help navigate an increasingly international regulatory environment, conduct research on regulatory developments, and translate insights into policy and regulation.

The role involves horizon-scanning, stakeholder engagement and supporting senior colleagues in international meetings, contributing to UK consumers and business resilience within the Strategy and Research Group.

Responsibilities

• Conduct research and analysis on international regulatory developments, translating insights into practical recommendations for policy development and regulatory decisions.
• Contribute to strategic policy priorities across the Infrastructure and Connectivity Group, including digital markets, consumer protection, and horizon-scanning initiatives.
• Support and coordinate Ofcom's participation in international discussions in regulatory networks and fora (e.g., BEREC, IRG, OECD) to influence debates aligned with Ofcom's objectives.
• Proactively horizon-scan to identify international developments in future technologies relevant to Ofcom's regulatory objectives, and share implications with the organisation.
• Prepare senior colleagues for international meetings and plan their deployment to support Ofcom's aims.
