Job summary

Ofcom, the UK’s communications regulator, invites applications for an Associate role in its International Team. You will help shape regulatory thinking by researching international developments, translating insights into policy recommendations, and coordinating participation in global regulatory discussions.

The role requires strong analytical ability, stakeholder diplomacy, and the capacity to work across regulatory groups.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of, or a strong interest, in telecoms regulation and/or digital markets policy.
• Understanding of the UK regulatory environment and how Ofcom’s international work contributes to its objectives.
• Strong analytical and communication skills with ability to inform policy and regulation.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to Ofcom’s international engagement across telecoms and digital markets.
• Conduct research and analysis on international regulatory developments and translate insights into practical recommendations.
• Support and coordinate Ofcom’s participation in international discussions (e.g. BEREC/IRG, OECD).
• Proactively horizon-scan for future technologies and communicate implications to the organisation.
• Prepare senior colleagues for international meetings and plan deployment to support Ofcom’s objectives.
