Job summary

Energy Jobline CVL in the United Kingdom is seeking a Global Technical Engineer for a client specialising in heavy castings, machined castings, wear parts and structural components. The role focuses on driving process capability, capacity and quality improvements with international travel to Asia to implement new processes. You will report to the Technical Director and help integrate ISO 9001 across sites.

Qualifications

• Proven engineering experience in product development and manufacturing.
• Knowledge of heavy castings and machining processes.
• Experience in fabrication and manufacturing processes.

Responsibilities

• Ensure inspection reports and tests are completed before dispatch.
• Work with customers to resolve issues quickly and efficiently.
• Support and develop the manufacturing team, including China-based operations.
• Develop ISO 9001 processes in China to support certification goals.
• Support product risk management and FMEAs.
• Ensure technical documents meet client requirements.
• Evaluate and improve manufacturing processes across design, casting, tooling and materials.
• Design tests and inspect finished products and process capabilities.
• Establish repeatable manufacturing standards across sites.
• Prepare reports by analyzing data and trends.
• Train and guide technicians in development projects.
• Assist factories in researching, designing, and testing methods and equipment.
