Job summary

Vanguard seeks an experienced Technology Manager to lead globally distributed engineering teams building data platforms that acquire, manage, enrich, and distribute investment data. The role oversees cloud-native services, data ingestion pipelines, APIs and workflows using Python, Java, and AWS.

You will lead with a people-first approach, shaping culture, performance, and succession planning while aligning product, architecture and business needs across the firm.

Qualifications

• Degree in a technical discipline or equivalent experience.
• Experience with Agile development and full DevOps lifecycle.
• Experience delivering data platforms/services, ideally in cloud-native architectures.
• Experience delivering for a global user base.
• Familiarity with AI-enabled engineering tools and responsible use.
• Financial industry experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and develop talent across globally distributed engineering teams.
• Ensure data platforms are scalable, secure, well-governed and accessible to downstream users.
• Drive delivery excellence and maintain delivery commitments amidst ambiguity and change.
• Partner with product, architecture, and business to align priorities and strategy.
• Oversee governance, security, risk, and operational readiness.
