Job summary

The Vanguard Group is seeking a Technology Manager to lead globally distributed engineering teams building platforms that enable investment data capabilities. You will manage data ingestion pipelines, APIs, and cloud-native services using Python, Java and AWS, ensuring security, governance, and accessibility for downstream consumers.

You will partner with product and architecture leaders, drive delivery excellence, and coach engineers, with a hybrid work model requiring three office days per

Qualifications

• Degree in a technical discipline or equivalent training and experience.
• Experience with Agile development and full DevOps lifecycle.
• Experience delivering data platforms and services using cloud-native architectures.
• Experience with APIs and data governance for enterprise-scale data.
• Experience leading globally distributed engineering teams.

Responsibilities

• Provide visible, supportive leadership and develop high-performing, inclusive teams.
• Recruit, onboard, and develop talent to meet capability needs.
• Partner with architects to foster engineering excellence and scalable data platforms.
• Ensure data platforms are scalable, secure, governed, and accessible to downstream consumers.
• Drive delivery leadership, manage risks, and align priorities across product, business, and technology teams.
• Influence stakeholders and communicate priorities, risks, and resource needs clearly.
