Job summary

Boehringer Ingelheim UK is offering a 12-month Supply Chain Intern role based at Winnersh, requiring at least two days per week on-site with potential hybrid options. You will join a sizeable student cohort, receive structured placement plans, and be mentored by managers and HR from day one.

You will gain exposure to forecasting, planning and customer order management in a global pharma environment, with opportunities to work across S&OP, import/export and logistics.

Qualifications

• Currently studying for a Supply Chain or Analytical subject with a placement year.
• At least three A levels at grades ABB or equivalent.
• Right to work in the UK for the full duration of the internship.
• Ability to travel to the usual workplace and, where required, to other sites.

Responsibilities

• Assist supply planning by analysing historical sales data, market trends and customer insights to support planning.
• Monitor stock levels and in-transit goods using SAP and Power BI dashboards, ensuring data accuracy and timely reporting.
• Participate in Sales & Operations Planning (S&O) meetings to align supply and demand across functions such as sales, finance and logistics.
• Manage customer orders from entry to delivery, including resolving issues and maintaining clear communication with customers.
• Support the creation and maintenance of planning tools and reports to improve visibility and decision-making.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders across departments and present updates and insights to various business functions.
• Assist with import/export documentation and customs compliance activities as needed.
• Engage with external partners such as freight forwarders, customs brokers and warehousing to ensure smooth logistics operations.
• Maintain accurate records and ensuring compliance with international trade regulations.
