Job summary

Clifton Search is representing a highly acquisitive global organisation in software/Content/Media/Telco sectors. We seek a Senior Sole Counsel to lead the legal function for the newly acquired part, a standalone, highly autonomous role reporting to the CEO of the group.

The successful candidate will own full legal responsibility, handle commercial contracts, international contracting, data protection, privacy compliance, AI/ML regulatory strategy, and IP portfolio management in a truly global

Qualifications

• UK-qualified solicitor with senior leadership experience.
• Experience advising on software, media or telecom sectors.
• Proven international contracting experience and cross-border negotiations.
• Strong data protection and privacy regulatory knowledge.
• Experience with licensing, SaaS/IaaS/PaaS advisable.

Responsibilities

• Own full legal responsibility for the newly acquired entity.
• Advise and negotiate a wide range of commercial contracts.
• Lead international contracts and cross-border legal matters.
• Manage privacy, data protection, and consumer laws compliance.
• Provide input on AI/ML regulatory strategy and IP portfolio.
