Job summary

Moderna is seeking a senior Budgets Manager for its GCO BAOM function in the UK to oversee investigator site budgets across Phase I–IV trials, ensuring FMV compliance and timely activation. You will leverage Grants Manager and GrantPlan to build accurate budgets and negotiate with CROs and vendors.

The role requires deep financial analysis, 5+ years of global budgeting experience, and collaboration across Clinical Operations, Legal, and external partners. Hybrid work may be offered.

Qualifications

• 5+ years direct experience in global investigator site budget creation and negotiations.
• Experience with Grants Manager/GrantPlan and CTA language negotiations is preferred.
• Strong financial justification and analysis skills.
• Experience in an outsourced CRO model and in CTA/budget negotiations.
• Advanced MS Excel and stand-alone system know-how.
• Detail-oriented with ability to manage high volumes of financial data.

Responsibilities

• Create and oversee investigator site budgets for multiple trials.
• Generate and review IG budgets using Grants Manager/GrantPlan.
• Validate budgets with internal and vendor data and industry benchmarks.
• Provide site contract and budget oversight to trial teams.
• Lead scenario planning and FMV-based budgeting across programs.
• Collaborate with CROs and Legal on budgets, CTAs, and negotiations.
• Monitor KPIs and ensure timelines for CTA negotiations and activation.
• Escalate risks to keep study start-up on track.
• Support process improvements in budgeting and contracting.
• Apply Generative AI tools to budget analytics while ensuring governance.
