Job summary

PeopleFirst is seeking a Shipping Coordinator in Central London to support the Documentary Operations Team. You will manage contract documents, coordinate international shipments and ensure compliance with Incoterms, FOB, CIF, CFR and FCA.

This hybrid role combines office work with remote tasks, offering a £35k salary and requiring attention to detail, strong communication, and experience with SAP and logistics.

Qualifications

• Experience with import/export and Incoterms.
• Knowledge of documentary requirements and letters of credit.
• Ability to coordinate global shipments and communicate with suppliers/customers.
• Proficiency in SAP or similar ERP for document processing.

Responsibilities

• Support Documentary Operations Team; ensure contracts are executed efficiently.
• Enter contract files into SAP accurately and promptly.
• Issue documentary instructions/shipping instructions in a timely manner per Incoterms (FOB, CIF, CFR, FCA).
• Coordinate with customers and suppliers worldwide to expedite shipments and ensure on-time delivery.
• Prepare documents for customers (Invoice, Bills of Lading, Certificate of Origin, Insurance Certificate, Packing List, Certificate of Analysis).
• Present documents to banks for payment under Letter of Credit and Documentary Collection.
• Liaise with suppliers and customers throughout the documentation process to meet client needs.
• Monitor shipments and provide regular updates to customers.
• Check and pass suppliers’ invoices to Accounts for payment.
• Collaborate with teams to ensure documentation accuracy and compliance.
