Job summary

Lloyd Recruitment Services Ltd is seeking a Global Shipping Coordinator in Crawley, West Sussex. You will own the international shipping process from overseas suppliers through to delivery, coordinating with freight forwarders and logistics partners across the UK and Europe.

The role offers a £30,000–£43,000 DOE, a permanent contract, and an opportunity for career progression. Strong Excel and shipping documentation skills are desirable for success.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in shipping, imports or international logistics.
• Strong knowledge of sea freight, FOB terms and container shipping.
• Experience importing goods from the Far East into the UK and/or Europe.
• FMCG, retail or private-label experience would be advantageous.
• Knowledge of customs procedures and shipping documentation.
• Strong Excel, organisational and communication skills.
• Confident working independently and managing the full shipping process.

Responsibilities

• Manage international shipments from booking through to delivery, primarily under FOB terms.

• Monitor ETAs, shipping schedules and delivery deadlines.
• Manage shipping documentation and support customs clearance.

• Resolve shipping issues and identify opportunities to improve efficiency.

Global Shipping Coordinator

Crawley, West Sussex | £30,000–£43,000 DOE | Permanent

The Opportunity

Lloyd Recruitment Services is working with a growing FMCG business in Crawley to recruit an experienced Global Shipping Coordinator.

Supplying products to major retailers, the business is looking for someone to take ownership of its international shipping operations in this newly created, standalone role.

You will coordinate shipments from overseas suppliers through to final delivery, working with freight forwarders and logistics partners across the UK and Europe. This is an excellent opportunity for someone confident working independently, with potential for career progression as the business grows.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage international shipments from booking through to delivery, primarily under FOB terms
• Coordinate sea freight, container bookings and overseas suppliers
• Monitor ETAs, shipping schedules and delivery deadlines
• Manage shipping documentation and support customs clearance
