Job summary

Veolia Ltd. seeks a Global Senior Purchasing Leader to head purchasing for the Labwater Solutions Division. Office-based in Lane End, High Wycombe with international travel. Permanent, full-time, 37 hours, with 25 days leave and a company bonus scheme.

The role leads a global procurement function, shapes sourcing strategy, and partners with Supply Chain, R&D and Operations to optimise supply, drive cost improvements and ensure continuity of supply.

Qualifications

• Significant experience leading global procurement within an international organisation.
• Proven track record developing sourcing strategies and delivering cost improvements.
• Experience managing international teams and large procurement budgets in technical manufacturing.
• Background in laboratory instrumentation, scientific equipment, medical devices or related industry.
• Strong commercial awareness and ability to build long-term supplier partnerships.
• Expertise in ERP/MRP systems and modern procurement tools.
• Excellent leadership, communication, negotiation and influencing skills.
• Master's degree or CIPS Level 6 Professional Diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute the global procurement strategy aligned with objectives and production plans.
• Lead an international purchasing and procurement team with a culture of collaboration and high performance.
• Build and maintain supplier relationships, negotiate strategic contracts for best value.
• Identify cost-reduction opportunities through consolidation and alternative sourcing.
• Monitor market trends and adapt sourcing to strengthen supply resilience.
• Oversee purchasing budgets and ensure cost control across the function.
• Manage ERP/MRP purchasing system data integrity and alignment with schedules.
• Collaborate with Supply Chain, Operations, Production Planning and R&D on priorities and new products.
• Develop supplier risk mitigation to ensure continuity of supply.
• Monitor supplier performance and drive continuous improvement.
• Ensure compliance with policies, legal requirements and CSR initiatives.
