Job summary

Caterpillar Inc. is seeking a Senior Engineering Manager for Electrical Systems to lead a global engineering organization focused on Electrical Systems and Components for BCP Machines and Attachments.

You will drive architecture, wiring harnesses, and design control across geographies, partnering with Product, Technology, and Procurement teams to execute Enterprise strategy. You will manage a global team, advance NPI programs, and ensure alignment with product directors and budgets while

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related fields.
Knowledge of planning techniques and ability to contribute to short-term, tactical and strategic planning.
Ability to analyze situations and make informed decisions.
Knowledge of technologies and methods to develop technical solutions.
Effective listening and communication to influence others.
Understanding market priorities and internal/external customer needs.
Experience leading teams and addressing performance or conflicts.
Ability to build networks across countries and cultures to drive results.
Influencing strategies to deepen expertise and impact decisions.

Responsibilities

Lead a global engineering team across multiple sites.
Oversee NPIs, CPI projects, maintenance, and obsolescence management.
Own the Cat Technology relationship for Electrical Systems and Components.
Translate technology plans into executable electrical architecture and components plans.
Collaborate with Product Directors and engineering teams on planning and budgets.
Develop and grow engineering expertise in Electrical Systems for long-term needs.
Manage on-site supplier relationships for electrical harness co-development.
Direct staff activities to ensure projects meet policies and objectives.
Improve product quality, performance, and cost-effectiveness.
