Job summary

SailGP's Global Security Lead is responsible for the on-site delivery and coordination of security, accreditation and access control at every event. The role turns strategy into practical, on-the-ground plans, working with security providers, local operators, authorities and internal teams to ensure safety and smooth operations.

You will direct daily security briefs, manage staffing within budget, maintain post-event records and drive continuous improvements while safeguarding GDPR and data

Qualifications

• Minimum 5+ years in security operations or programmes.
• Experience leading event security at large venues.
• Strong incident management and escalation skills.
• Budgeting and vendor management experience.
• Proficiency with GDPR/data protection in access control.

Responsibilities

• Lead on-site security, accreditation and access control delivery from build to breakdown.
• Coordinate daily with security providers, operators and internal teams.
• Ensure venue zone integrity and safe egress through effective screening.
• Oversee incident command and escalation with authorities.
• Maintain documentation and post-event records.
