Job summary

SRT Marine Systems plc is seeking a Security & Compliance Manager to own security across deployed products and systems globally. The role leads assurance, certification and security engagements with customers, auditors and partners, while coordinating cross-functional teams to maintain secure operations throughout the lifecycle.

The position is senior and heavily collaborative, with responsibilities spanning policy definition, lifecycle security, incident responses and external audits.

Qualifications

• Strong experience in security management, assurance or compliance within customer environments.
• Track record of achieving ISO 27001 and Cyber Essentials Plus certifications, including audits.
• Understanding of securing deployed infrastructure, firewalls, patching and lifecycle management.
• Experience leading customer-facing security engagements and third-party assurance.
• Ability to champion change and influence stakeholders without direct authority.
• Pragmatic risk assessment and prioritisation aligned with project delivery.
• Experience coordinating managed security providers or SOC partners.
• Familiarity with ISO 27001, Cyber Essentials Plus, NIST CSF or similar frameworks.
• Experience in high-trust or regulated environments is valuable.

Responsibilities

• Act as the senior voice and champion for security across delivery and customer operations.
• Define customer operating policies for secure implementation and operation of systems.
• Own through-life security of equipment deployed with patching and configuration.
• Lead responses to customer security requirements and audits, including government/defence.
• Ensure engineering reality supports security claims to customers and auditors.
• Lead assurance and certification activities including ISO 27001 and Cyber Essentials Plus.
• Coordinate security expertise across the business into a coherent programme.
• Direct external security partners for monitoring, assessments and remediation.
• Assign risk levels and prioritise remediation with delivery teams.
• Report risk, progress and priorities to senior leadership in business terms.
