Job summary

Ashurst Perkins Coie is seeking a proactive Risk & Compliance professional for its Glasgow office on a 12-month fixed-term contract. The role supports the firm’s global risk & conflicts clearance, providing analytical input to AML/CTF compliance, sanctions, and client verification processes.

You will research, assess, and document risk factors, working closely with lawyers and firm management across multiple jurisdictions. Strong communication and attention to detail are essential.

Qualifications

• Experience in risk and compliance in professional services.
• Degree in law, risk management, business or related.
• Ability to analyse complex information and research.
• Interest in corporate multinational law firms.

Responsibilities

• Research sources to verify client identity.
• Analyse identity docs against AML policies.
• Maintain data integrity in risk databases.
• Draft written risk assessments on AML/sanctions and other risks.
• Collate information across firm systems and liaise with lawyers.
• Identify conflicts of interest related to new clients and matters.
