Job summary

Ashurst Perkins Coie in London seeks an Executive to join our Regulatory Risk team within Risk Advisory. You will collaborate with clients across financial services, energy, retail, corporate, and government to deliver regulatory, risk, and compliance advisory and solutions.

The role is full-time with hybrid working in the London office; you will lead client meetings, design compliance programs, and manage end-to-end projects with Directors and Partners.

Qualifications

  • 5-9 years of experience in regulatory, conduct, and compliance risk, ideally gained within a consulting environment.
  • Confidence advising clients on complex risk and compliance challenges, leading client meetings, and facilitating senior stakeholder discussions.
  • Recognised subject matter expertise in one or more areas, while being equally comfortable applying skills across a broad range of regulatory, risk, and compliance topics.
  • Proven experience delivering high-quality, thoughtful work for clients and stakeholders in line with expectations and deadlines.
  • Experience writing business documents, including reports, letters, and proposals for government or corporate audiences.

Responsibilities

  • Providing strategic and commercial advice to help clients plan, deliver, and operationalise programs and projects, including licensing and regulatory approvals, regulatory change, compliance management, control design and effectiveness, consumer remediation, and regulatory investigations and enforcement
  • Partnering closely with clients to understand and address strategic and risk management gaps, uplift compliance capabilities, and design and implement regulatory engagement strategies and compliance programs
  • Structuring and managing end-to-end project scope, budget, and administration, including developing project plans, identifying resourcing needs, delegating and reviewing work, and ensuring timely delivery
  • Leading the creation of client artefacts such as agendas, check-in packs, reports, workshop materials, and presentations, revised with input from Directors and Partners
  • Designing the proposed approach for delivering client solutions, including scope of work, cost estimates, and relevant expertise required to suit the client's needs
