Job summary

OEGEN Funds Finance, part of Octopus Energy Group, sits within the Finance team and supports financial reporting for a growing, international renewable energy asset portfolio. The role emphasizes ensuring quality management accounts, external partner coordination, and timely stakeholder reporting.

We are seeking a qualified accountant with UK GAAP knowledge to join a busy team, drive process improvements, and support audits and valuations across assets in the UK, US, Europe and beyond.

Qualifications

• Qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA).
• UK GAAP knowledge and ability to complete consolidations.
• Experience with investment entity accounting is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Review and challenge management accounts provided by external accountants.
• Report on the financial performance of the operational portfolios at monthly meetings.
• Ensure financial information and commentary is accurately presented in Investor Reports.
• Manage the quality of outputs from external accounting teams and establish controls.
• Budget preparation with asset managers and monitoring against budgets.
• Assist in quarterly valuations and onboarding of new investments into OEGEN’s finance processes.
• Assist with audits of underlying assets and financial DD queries.
• Coordinate audits and liaise with external auditors.
• Maintain robust controls across the portfolio and act as a business partner to stakeholders.
