Job summary

Aspora, a borderless fintech leader, seeks a senior regulatory executive to own licensing, regulator engagement and safeguarding oversight. You will report to the COO and collaborate with Product, Engineering, Finance and Operations to turn complex rules into robust controls.

Based in the UK, you will drive UK payments and e-money compliance across markets, shaping licensing strategy and ensuring resilience, governance and consumer protection while enabling compliant growth.

Qualifications

• Experience scaling fintechs, especially payments, remittance or e-money.
• Translated payments and e-money requirements into customer journeys, controls and processes.
• Owned licensing or variation work and regulatory reporting.
• Handled supervisory questions, inspections or remedial actions under pressure.
• Built shared standards across markets and teams with local legal nuance.
• Deep knowledge of UK payments, e-money, safeguarding and customer protection.

Responsibilities

• Own licensing and regulator engagement, with filings and commitments tracked.
• Shape products before launch, aligning with UK PSRs, EMRs and FCA rules.
• Ensure safeguarding is measurable and audit-ready, coordinating with Finance.
• Drive Consumer Duty, fair value, vulnerable customers, complaints and oversight.
• Own the regulatory view on resilience, mapping services and outsourcing oversight.
• Build a single global regulatory framework with local adjustments as needed.
