Job summary

Mondelēz International invites applications for a 12‑month R&D internship in Reading, UK. You will join Global Research to work on projects in food science, performing experiments, data analysis and reporting with mentorship throughout the program.

Starting salary £23,793 per year with opportunities to develop skills in formulation, processing and analysis, plus exposure to cross‑functional teams and potential international travel for selected roles.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s in Food Science, Chemistry or related scientific discipline.
• Strong analytical, communication and presentation abilities.
• Able to apply a scientific approach to new situations with rigor.
• Self‑motivated, hands‑on and quick to learn with proactive teamwork.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and adapt to feedback.

Responsibilities

• Lab work from benchtop to pilot plant, supporting experiments and tests.
• Scope and deliver a personal project across the internship.
• Coordinate informal sensory assessments to refine research.
• Analyze and present scientific data clearly, using creative problem solving.
• Follow quality and safety procedures and maintain high standards.
