Job summary

Camfil is seeking a Project Design Engineer to join a busy engineering team across Haslingden (UK) and Chomutov (Czechia). You will convert sales orders into manufacturing packs, create detailed CAD drawings in SolidWorks, and generate BOMs for ERP systems.

The role involves liaising with purchasing, coordinating site work, and supporting sales with technical solutions. Ideal candidates have an engineering qualification (HNC or higher) and experience with machinery installation or sheet metal

Qualifications

HNC or higher in engineering.
Work experience in supply and installation of machinery and/or sheet metal fabrication.

Responsibilities

Convert sales order paperwork into a manufacturing & engineering job pack in line with company procedures.
Produce general assembly and detailed fabrication drawings using SolidWORKS.
Detailed bills of materials (BOM) for manufacture within company ERP system.
Point of contact for both internal and external customer regarding drawing approval, delivery schedules, technical queries and customer issues.
Project scope can range in complexity from equipment supply only, through to equipment supply, install and site commissioning.
Support sales department with customer enquires producing sales drawings and technical solutions.
