Job summary

HSBC is seeking an experienced Procurement Category Manager to shape global strategy for Consultancy Services and Non-Permanent Workforce. You will lead high-value negotiations, manage international supplier relationships, and drive measurable savings while ensuring governance and risk controls across regions.

In this role you will engage C-suite stakeholders, mentor junior colleagues, and collaborate with Risk, Legal and Finance to deliver enterprise-wide value within a major international bank.

Qualifications

• Significant experience in global category management and strategic sourcing.
• Proven track record in consultancy services, contingent labour or resourcing.
• Strong senior stakeholder management and communication with C-suite.
• Hands-on leadership in procurement, risk management and contract governance.

Responsibilities

• Lead global category strategy and planning for Consultancy and Non-Permanent Workforce.
• Create and review category plans aligned with business priorities.
• Deliver savings, demand management and risk reduction across multiple countries.
• Lead strategic tenders and complex commercial negotiations with suppliers.
• Manage high-value procurement transactions and supplier performance.
• Develop and mentor an Assistant Category Manager and ensure governance.
