Job summary

Spotify is building a world-class Global Payments team to develop and execute a long-term payments strategy that enables a pan-Spotify platform across multiple pay-in/pay-out use cases for consumers, creators and advertisers.

The team leads exploration of payment innovations including blockchain/crypto/stablecoins/CBDC & DeFi, Open Banking & A2A payments, In‑App & Platform Payments, micropayments and embedded finance, shaping the future of Spotify’s payments ecosystem.

Responsibilities

• Development and execution of Spotify’s long-term payments strategy.
• Development of an 18–24 month strategic plan for payment initiatives.
• Oversee planning, prioritization and delivery of payments projects across the company.
• Collaborate with external partners and global teams (Product, R&D, Legal, Finance, Customer Service, Subscriber Growth).
• Respond to payment trends and regulation to define strategic priorities and initiatives.
• Explore key payment innovations including Open Banking, A2A payments, In-App & Platform Payments, and embedded finance.
