Job summary

The University of Sheffield is seeking a Global Opportunities Coordinator to join the Careers & Employability Service within Student & Academic Services. You will manage designated activity areas, focusing on grant funding and partnership agreements, while supporting inbound/outbound study abroad and mobility programs.

You will coordinate budgets, monitor spend, advise stakeholders, and communicate with internal staff and external partners to promote Sheffield internationally.

Qualifications

• Good degree or equivalent experience in a relevant field.
• Ability to interpret complex external regulations (Erasmus+ / Turing).
• Experience managing data across systems and producing reports.

Responsibilities

• Oversee Mobility grant funding operations and Erasmus+ transition activities.
• Design compliant processes using multiple software platforms for grants.
• Monitor expenditure and maintain records of designated budgets.
• Support management of exchange agreements and partnerships with stakeholders.
• Plan short to medium term projects and allocate work to meet deadlines.
• Delegate admin and student advisory tasks to administrators.
• Build relationships with internal staff and UK external partners.
• Act as a key contact for overseas partner institutions and promote Sheffield.
• Provide guidance to incoming/outgoing students on Global Opportunities initiatives.
• Coordinate promotional efforts to increase student participation.
