Job summary

The University of Sheffield is seeking a strategic leader to head the Global Opportunities team within the Careers & Employability Service. You will oversee international student exchanges, grant-funded schemes such as Erasmus and Turing, and short-term programmes, driving high-quality experiences for outgoing and incoming students.

• Experience leading a university global mobility or international exchanges team.
• Proven ability to manage budgets, grants and partnerships across multiple stakeholders.
• Strong data analysis, reporting and presentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership of Global Opportunities operations and service provision for outgoing/incoming exchanges and grant-funded schemes.
• Shape the strategic direction of the Global Opportunities area and collaborate across faculties.
• Oversee a large portfolio of study abroad partnerships and identify new international opportunities.
• Manage negotiations and delivery of exchange agreements and budgets; lead grant applications (Erasmus, Erasmus+).
• Represent the university at external meetings and ensure high-quality student experiences.
