Job summary

The University of Sheffield invites candidates to join the Global Opportunities team within the Careers & Employability Service. You will manage mobility grant funding operations, coordinate partner relations, and ensure compliant processes across international study mobility and exchange activities.

You will monitor budgets, advise on partnerships, and deliver information to students and staff through diverse formats while upholding the university’s strategic objectives and deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Oversee designated areas of Global Opportunities work, focusing on mobility grant funding operations and Erasmus+ transition
• Interpret and coordinate compliant processes under Erasmus and Turing using multiple software platforms
• Monitor expenditure and maintain records of designated budgets, ensure adherence to external regulations
• Contribute to management of exchange agreements and partnerships, advise on suitability and collect feedback
• Plan short- to medium-term projects, allocate work to meet deadlines
• Delegate tasks to Global Opportunities Administrators where appropriate
• Liaise with internal staff and external networks to ensure smooth study abroad processes
• Build relationships with UK external stakeholders (British Council, DfE, UUKi)
• Promote Sheffield as a destination and manage enquiries from overseas partner institutions
• Provide guidance to students on grant and funding processes for Global Opportunities initiatives
• Coordinate promotional efforts to raise student participation across formats (web, print, events)
• Communicate with stakeholders during emergencies and escalation where needed
• Represent the University at internal/external meetings and travel as required
• Collaborate with the Careers and Employability Service to align activities with strategic objectives
• Perform any other duties commensurate with the grade of the post
