Job summary

Rotork is seeking a Global Category Manager – New Product Development to place Procurement at the heart of product decisions. You’ll partner with Engineering from concept through launch, shaping supplier strategy, cost, and supply chain readiness on a global scale.

You will lead sourcing strategies, evaluate suppliers, and drive commercial negotiations to balance cost, quality and delivery while enabling rapid product introductions and long-term value across the business.

Qualifications

• Experience in Category Management, Strategic Sourcing, Procurement or New Product Development.
• Strong supplier management and commercial negotiation skills.
• Ability to influence stakeholders across Engineering, Supply Chain, Quality and Operations.
• Engineering background or technical understanding preferred.

Responsibilities

• Partner with Engineering teams from concept through to product launch, ensuring procurement considerations are embedded at every stage of development.
• Develop and execute sourcing strategies that support innovation, mitigate risk, and create long-term business value.
• Identify, evaluate, and onboard suppliers capable of delivering the quality, technology, and performance required for future products.
• Lead commercial negotiations and sourcing decisions, balancing cost, quality, delivery, and supply chain resilience.
• Use cost engineering, VA/VE, and Total Cost of Ownership methodologies to influence design choices and optimise product costs.
• Ensure supplier readiness and supply chain capability are in place to support successful product introductions and production ramp-up.
• Build strong relationships across Engineering, Operations, Quality, and Supply Chain to drive collaboration and achieve project objectives globally.
