Job summary

MBDA is seeking a Global Mobility Immigration Advisor to join the UK Global Mobility team. You will be the subject matter expert for outbound UK immigration matters, advising on visas, work permits and residency requirements across jurisdictions while ensuring compliance.

The role supports international assignments, permanent transfers and short deployments with a hybrid work pattern (2–3 days on site). Salary is circa £54,000 depending on experience.

Qualifications

• Significant experience in immigration within Global Mobility or international HR compliance.
• Strong knowledge of visas, work permits, residency requirements and policy development is useful.
• Experience managing relationships with external immigration providers and advisors.
• Solid understanding of governance, risk management and regulatory compliance.

Responsibilities

• Lead on immigration compliance for international assignments, permanent transfers and ad-hoc deployments.
• Provide expert advice on visas, work permits and residency requirements across multiple jurisdictions.
• Develop and continuously improve MBDA UK's immigration governance, policies and compliance framework.
• Monitor changes in immigration legislation and assess impact on business and employees.
• Identify and mitigate immigration-related risks to reduce operational exposure.
• Establish robust processes, controls and audit requirements for compliance and governance.
• Partner with external immigration providers to deliver high-quality support.
• Ensure immigration timelines are integrated into assignment planning and mobilisation activities.
• Support HRBP, managers and employees with clear immigration guidance.
• Track key immigration milestones and ensure accountability across stakeholders.
• Support supplier management and cost management for immigration services.
• Escalate complex/high-risk cases with practical solutions as needed.
• Contribute to the ongoing development of the Global Mobility function.
