Job summary

BDO is seeking a Senior Global Mobility & Immigration specialist to oversee UK immigration processes, international secondments and permanent hires, ensuring UKVI compliance and sponsor obligations. You’ll guide visa applications end-to-end and collaborate with HR, Talent Acquisition and Tax teams.

You’ll develop strategies, policies and processes to enhance efficiency and compliance, while maintaining robust data and reporting for audits and business needs.

Qualifications

• Significant experience managing UK immigration matters including sponsor routes and UKVI regulations.
• Experience in Global Mobility, Immigration or international HR in a large professional services setting is preferred.
• Strong stakeholder management, communication and relationship-building skills with the ability to influence at all levels.
• Excellent analytical, organisational and problem-solving abilities with high attention to detail and compliance.
• Able to manage multiple priorities, meet tight deadlines and deliver high-quality results in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Oversee UK immigration processes, international secondments and permanent hires, ensuring compliance with policies and regulations.
• Provide expert guidance on immigration requirements and manage visa applications and renewals end-to-end.
• Monitor visa expiry dates, assess sponsorship eligibility and review permissions; ensure accurate immigration data and reporting for audit readiness.
• Help shape and improve Global Mobility and Immigration policy, strategy, and processes for greater efficiency and compliance.
• Lead case reviews, collaborate with Talent Acquisition, HR, Reward, Payroll and Tax teams, and manage relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
• Support international assignments and remote working requests while maintaining sponsor licence compliance and governance.
