Job summary

The British Council in the United Kingdom is seeking a Senior Monitoring and Evaluation Manager to lead a unified MEL approach for the ISM Global Programme. You will work with programme and country teams to improve data quality, ensure reliable evidence, and support learning and decision-making.

Essential experience includes leading MEL for complex international programmes, outcomes-based design and collaboration with diverse partners.

Qualifications

• Significant experience leading MEL for complex international programmes.
• Strong understanding of outcomes-based programme design and delivery.
• Experience embedding MEL practices across country teams and partners.
• Proven ability to develop MEL tools, systems and data processes.

Responsibilities

• Lead development and embedding of a single MEL practice across the ISM Global Programme.
• Coordinate data strategies, monitoring tools and reporting with central and country teams.
• Ensure data quality, completeness and reliability across monitoring systems.
• Provide training and coaching to embed shared MEL practice across teams.
• Collaborate with DEP and other teams to align with performance frameworks.
