Job summary

SMBC Group in London is seeking an AVP for MTMG Trade Management Control & FMD Trade Support to deliver pricing and valuation controls, oversee trade lifecycle, and ensure data integrity across front-to-back processes.

You will collaborate with Front Office, Finance & Control, Risk, Operations and Technology to strengthen controls, resolve exceptions and drive continuous improvement in regulatory and market data practices.

Qualifications

• -Experience in Middle Office/Trade Management, Finance & Control or similar Financial Markets function.
• -Understanding of pricing, valuation and market data control processes.
• -Experience performing trade reconciliations, exception management and operational control activities.
• -Understanding of Financial Markets products and trade lifecycle processes, including FX and Money Market.
• -Experience within a robust control and governance framework.
• -Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• -Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
• -Advanced Excel skills with MI, analysis and reporting.

Responsibilities

• -Perform pricing and valuation controls through market data validation and curve maintenance.
• -Monitor trade, pricing and market data issues; escalate when needed.
• -Investigate exceptions; coordinate remediation with stakeholders.
• -Manage trade lifecycle events; support FX and Money Market activities.
• -Produce management information and control reporting for oversight.
• -Maintain and enhance control frameworks and risk records.
