Hamilton Barnes and a fast-growing proprietary trading group are seeking a Linux Infrastructure Engineer to join the global infrastructure function supporting trading and research teams across EMEA, APAC, and the US.

The ideal candidate will work across the systems underpinning the trading environment, with a strong Linux focus, getting close to the operating system, working with automation, and improving the performance and reliability of production infrastructure.

Qualificações

• Strong Linux systems administration and engineering experience.
• Familiarity with Linux internals and OS fundamentals.
• Experience with kernel-level troubleshooting or performance tuning.
• Proficient in Ansible automation and configuration management.
• Experience supporting production infrastructure in a global setting.
• Solid scripting and automation mindset.
• Ability to collaborate with development or software engineering teams.
• Comfortable diagnosing issues across hardware, OS and app layers.
• Experience in trading or high-performance environments is a plus.

Responsabilidades

• Support and maintain Linux infrastructure across a global trading environment
• Work with development teams to deploy, test and optimise infrastructure
• Tune Linux systems to improve performance and reliability
• Work at kernel and operating-system level to investigate performance issues
• Build and improve infrastructure automation using Ansible
• Support infrastructure running across global colocation environments
• Troubleshoot complex Linux and infrastructure issues
• Assist with testing and tuning systems supporting trading workloads
• Contribute to infrastructure projects across the firm's global environment
• Support a smaller Windows footprint where required
