Job summary

Squarepoint Capital is seeking a Trading Infrastructure Support Engineer to join a talented team. The role focuses on high-availability L1/L2 support for mission-critical services across global regions, with emphasis on Linux, Python scripting, and automation.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of support experience
• Experience in Linux/Unix administration (RHEL/CentOS/OEL preferred)
• Proficiency in Python and Bash scripting
• Good working knowledge of storage protocols (NFS)
• Experience with infrastructure automation (Chef, Puppet or Ansible)
• Experience with Kafka or similar messaging
• Experience with CICD tooling
• Experience with monitoring infrastructure (ELK and Prometheus)
• Database administration experience (MySQL or PostgreSQL)
• Experience in container software administration (Docker, Kubernetes, Helm)
• TCP/IP, multicast, tcpdump, clocking (PTP, NTP)
• Bachelor's degree in CS/Engineering or related
• Knowledge of ITIL is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Provide L1/L2 support across services globally (APAC, EMEA, AMER)
• Monitor and respond to outages to maintain high availability
• Identify, analyze and resolve alerts and issues, escalate when needed
• Coordinate with trading, vendors, and infra teams
• Oversee automated processes, scheduled jobs and reports
• Improve efficiency via automation and cross-team collaboration
