Job summary

Oliver Bernard partners with a world-leading systematic trading firm in London to hire a senior Linux engineer for its Infrastructure teams. You will work on sophisticated trading systems, write software, filesystems and tools, and collaborate with top technologists.

Projects include a bespoke filesystem, monitoring/observability automation and bare metal provisioning. Strong kernel-level Linux knowledge, large-cluster experience, networking and programming skills are required.

Qualifications

• Proven, deep Linux knowledge – Kernel-level, bare metal, large clusters.
• Excellent understanding of systems administration and engineering, networking and file systems.
• Strong automation knowledge.
• Ideally solid OO programming skills – Java, C++, Python etc.
• A passion for learning and problem solving.

Responsibilities

• Current projects include creation of a new, bespoke filesystem, automaton of monitoring and observability systems and bare metal provisioning.
• You’ll need exception Linux knowledge, experience of large clusters, good networking and solid programming skills.
