Job summary

Safran Landing Systems is seeking a Service Engineer to support airlines and maintenance organisations worldwide. You will inspect, repair, overhaul and recertify aircraft landing gear systems, working both at our Gloucester site and on customer facilities across the UK and internationally.

The role offers extensive travel, hands-on maintenance, and opportunities to develop specialist expertise across multiple aircraft platforms, with a focus on safety, airworthiness and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• Engineering Apprenticeship (or equivalent) with aerospace/aviation maintenance experience.
• Previous landing gear maintenance experience preferred.
• Ability to interpret maintenance manuals, drawings and engineering instructions.
• Strong mechanical aptitude with use of hand tools and precision measuring equipment.
• Willing and able to travel internationally.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, repair, overhaul, assemble and test aircraft landing gear systems and components.
• Conduct on-site maintenance, repair and recertification activities at customer facilities worldwide.
• Diagnose faults, assess component condition and implement corrective actions.
• Interpret maintenance manuals, engineering drawings and service bulletins.
• Carry out detailed inspections and testing using specialist equipment.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records and certification documentation.
