Job summary

IQVIA Laboratories – Central Laboratory Service is seeking an Associate Manager to oversee lab teams and drive daily operational delivery. You will mentor staff, manage performance, and ensure safety and quality standards across the department.

The role involves reviewing metrics, implementing process improvements, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to meet project timelines. A strong background in LEAN Six Sigma and data interpretation is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a Human Biology based science.
• 4 years of relevant experience in a clinical laboratory or clinical trials environment.
• Experience in technical leadership and cross-functional collaboration.
• Proficiency with LIMS and other laboratory data systems.
• Familiarity with CAPA processes and quality systems.
• Ability to analyse and interpret complex data.
• Ability to effectively coordinate and execute multiple tasks or projects simultaneously.
• Ability to effectively write scientific and technical documents
• Understanding of LEAN 6 Sigma principles

Responsibilities

• Supervise a team of lab staff and set day to day operational activities for the team.
• Hire, train, and manage staff performance under management mentorship.
• Oversee daily activities through delegation, training, and supervision.
• Ensure the team adheres to safety guidelines and drive safety improvements.
• Review laboratory metrics to identify initiatives and cost-saving opportunities.
• Ensure policies, practices and procedures are understood and followed.
• Ensure timely resolution of CAPA and quality incidents and improve quality metrics.
• Assist in establishment and revision of laboratory policies and procedures; maintain QA practices.
