Job summary

IQVIA Laboratories – Central Laboratory Service seeks an Associate Manager to supervise lab staff, set daily operational activities, and mentor team performance under management. The role emphasizes safety, quality, and cross-functional collaboration to drive efficient lab delivery.

You will review metrics, implement process improvements, and ensure adherence to CAPA and quality systems while contributing to policy development and staff development in a global central laboratory setting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a Human Biology based science.
• 4 years of relevant experience in a clinical laboratory or clinical trials environment (Biochem based).
• Experience in technical leadership and cross-functional collaboration.
• Proficiency with LIMS and other laboratory data systems.
• Familiarity with CAPA processes and quality systems.
• Ability to analyse and interpret complex data.
• Ability to coordinate and execute multiple tasks or projects simultaneously.
• Ability to write scientific and technical documents.
• Understanding of LEAN 6 Sigma principles.

Responsibilities

• Supervise a team of lab staff and set day-to-day operational activities for the team.
• Hire, train, and manage performance under management mentorship.
• Direct daily activities of assigned lab work groups through delegation, training, and supervision.
• Ensure safety guidelines are followed and drive safety accountability.
• Review lab metrics and identify initiatives, including cost-savings from process improvements.
• Ensure policies, practices and procedures are understood and followed by staff, customers and stakeholders.
• Resolve CAPA and quality incidents and perform root cause analysis and improvements.
• Assist in establishing and revising laboratory policies and procedures.
