Job summary

IQVIA Laboratories – Central Laboratory Service in the UK seeks an Associate Manager to lead a laboratory team and ensure efficient daily operations with a strong focus on safety and quality.

Under management mentorship, you will hire, train, and manage performance; oversee CAPA, quality incidents, and metrics; drive process improvements and ensure compliance with LEAN Six Sigma principles. A global employer offers diverse therapeutic exposure and career growth.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a Human Biology based science.
• 4 years of relevant experience in a clinical laboratory or clinical trials environment.
• Experience in technical leadership and cross-functional collaboration.
• Proficiency with LIMS and other laboratory data systems.
• Familiarity with CAPA processes and quality systems.
• Ability to analyze and interpret complex data.
• Ability to coordinate and execute multiple tasks or projects simultaneously.
• Ability to write scientific and technical documents.

Responsibilities

• Supervise a team of lab staff and ensure effective operational delivery.
• Hire, train, and manage staff performance under management guidance.
• Direct daily activities through delegation and oversight; regular reviews with staff and management.
• Drive safety awareness and identify opportunities for safety improvements.
• Review laboratory metrics and implement process improvements and cost-saving initiatives.
• Ensure adherence to policies, procedures, and quality standards; manage CAPA and quality incidents.
