Job summary

Micro Nav is seeking a reliable Installation Technician to travel globally, installing Air Traffic Control simulators at customer sites. You will work independently and as part of a team, delivering high-quality service to tight deadlines. Regular travel within the UK and overseas is involved.

The role requires hands-on IT skills, hardware configuration, and strong communication to support users of varying expertise. Travel readiness is essential.

Qualifications

• Good written and presentation skills.
• Excellent verbal communication to support users of varying proficiency.
• Proven experience in IT environments.
• Familiar with ISO 9001 standards.
• Experience installing and setting up computer hardware, networks and domain accounts; able to troubleshoot hardware issues.

Responsibilities

• Site visits to assess installation viability.
• Assist with creation of technical documents for bids.
• Create installation documentation.
• Prepare equipment orders.
• Configure IT hardware components of simulators.
• Install and assemble customer test rigs.
• Ship completed simulators.
• Deploy simulators to customer sites.
• Coordinate with Project Managers to meet milestones.
