Job summary

Ventula Consulting in Hatfield is seeking an experienced Product Owner to lead the development of a customer-facing IoT platform for a global high-tech manufacturing leader.

You will act as the liaison between customers, business stakeholders and software teams, define the product roadmap, prioritise features and translate needs into actionable requirements for developers, with a strong IoT and HVAC/building technology orientation.

Qualifications

• At least five years' experience in product development.
• At least five years' experience in Product Management or Product Ownership.
• Strong experience working with IoT or connected-device products.
• Experience within HVAC, building services or building technology.
• Experience owning product roadmaps and managing backlogs.
• Good technical understanding and commercial awareness.
• Experience working closely with software development teams.
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Experience working in an Agile environment.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent relevant experience.

Responsibilities

• Own and deliver the product vision, strategy and roadmap.
• Understand customer and stakeholder needs.
• Manage and prioritise the product backlog.
• Turn business needs into user stories and clear requirements.
• Work closely with software developers, designers, testers and other teams.
• Lead new products and features from idea through to launch.
• Use customer feedback and product data to identify improvements.
• Balance customer needs with technical and commercial priorities.
• Monitor product performance after launch.
• Keep up to date with competitors and industry developments.
• Manage delivery risks, priorities and dependencies.
