Job summary

Ventula Consulting seeks an experienced Product Owner to lead the development of a customer-facing IoT platform. Hatfield hybrid role: 2 days onsite, 3 days working from home.

You will bridge customers, stakeholders and software teams to define the roadmap and convert needs into clear developer requirements. You should have 5+ years in product development/ownership, IoT or building tech experience, and a Professional Scrum Product Owner certification.

Qualifications

• At least five years’ experience in product development.
• Experience in Product Management or Product Ownership.
• Strong experience with IoT or connected-device products.
• Experience within HVAC, building services or building technology.
• Experience owning product roadmaps and managing backlogs.
• Good technical understanding and commercial awareness.

Responsibilities

• Own and deliver the product vision, strategy and roadmap.
• Understand customer and stakeholder needs.
• Manage and prioritise the product backlog.
• Turn business needs into user stories and clear requirements.
• Work closely with software developers, designers, testers and other teams.
• Lead new products and features from idea through to launch.
• Use customer feedback and product data to identify improvements.
• Balance customer needs with technical and commercial priorities.
• Monitor product performance after launch.
• Keep up to date with competitors and industry developments.
• Manage delivery risks, priorities and dependencies.
