Job summary

UBS in London seeks an Associate Director for the Global Industrials Group to lead analytical work and execution across M&A, LBOs, and equity/debt financings. The role covers diverse sectors including industrial tech, aerospace, automotive, and packaging, with focus on senior client coverage and deal execution.

You will build strong client relationships, develop junior colleagues, and help generate new business ideas while collaborating across product and country teams within UBS.

Qualifications

• University degree in finance, economics, business administration, mathematics, or related field.
• Relevant investment banking experience including idea generation and transaction execution (M&A).
• Excellent financial modelling experience (operating models, DCFs, merger models, LBOs).
• Strong asset and corporate valuation knowledge and ability to lead Excel model prep/review.
• Strong client presentation skills for pitching and execution documents; ability to drive creative content.
• High attention to detail, proactivity and time management across responsibilities.
• Motivated to develop career and relationships within UBS and with clients.
• Curiosity about AI to improve workflows, with sound judgement and risk awareness.

Responsibilities

• Provide key analytical support in idea origination and transaction execution focused on M&A, leveraged buyouts, and equity/debt/private capital markets.
• Develop and deliver client presentations and assist in execution documents across multiple products.
• Collaborate with UBS teams across product areas and geographies to drive cross-asset ideas.
• Mentor and develop junior team members and contribute to team culture.
