Job summary

WPP Production is seeking a Global Hub Operations Director to lead the performance and development of its worldwide production hub network. The role sets operating standards across locations, translating demand into capacity plans and ensuring hubs deliver high-quality work at agreed service levels and costs.

The director will coordinate with Hub Operations Leads, Geo teams, Commercial, Talent, HR, Finance, Technology and Facilities to align capacity, location, cost and risk, while driving

Qualifications

• Senior operations leadership in a complex, multi-location production or agency environment.
• Strong command of capacity planning and workforce mix.
• Ability to translate incomplete demand and cost data into practical scenarios and executive decisions.
• Experience scaling hub operations and leading change in systems/processes.
• Direct, collaborative leadership with strong stakeholder management across cultures and functions.

Responsibilities

• Define hub operating model and governance for shared capacity, including prioritisation and escalation.
• Maintain a practical Hub Playbook covering planning, onboarding, access and security, local compliance and controls.
• Assess hub footprint against demand and capability; develop transition plans for expansion or changes in mix.
• Run regular hub leadership cadence; chair operational reviews and escalate material trade-offs.
• Translate demand forecasts into rolling capacity views by hub, language and employment type.
• Allocate shared resources, balance work across hubs and protect service levels.
• Lead staffing readiness, onboarding, training and HR collaboration for large-scale programmes.
• Ensure readiness for surges and contingency capacity; manage hub disruption response.
• Provide operational data to support the commercial model and monthly packs.
