Axis Capital seeks an experienced risk leader to design, embed and evolve the Group Operational Risk Framework across the enterprise, aligning with the Board’s appetite and regulatory expectations. You will act as the senior authority for operational risk, delivering independent oversight, challenge and insight to the CRO, leadership and the Board Risk Committee.

Qualifikationen

• Experience leading operational risk in a complex, regulated insurance or reinsurance organisation.
• Detailed knowledge of risk and control assessment, risk appetite, KRIs, risk events, scenario analysis, controls and governance reporting.
• Ability to convert complex risk information into clear implications and recommendations for executives and the Board.
• Ability to operate across multiple businesses, legal entities and jurisdictions.
• Knowledge of regulatory expectations for operational risk and resilience, including responses to reviews.
• Ability to influence senior stakeholders and maintain independence of the second line.
• Leadership to set priorities, manage resources and develop capability globally.
• Experience owning governance, risk and compliance platforms to improve risk data and reporting.

Aufgaben

• Own and evolve the Group Operational Risk Framework and strategy across the enterprise.
• Provide independent second-line oversight with a clear Group-wide view of exposures, weaknesses, trends and vulnerabilities.
• Lead the risk event process with escalation, root-cause analysis and action tracking.
• Chair the quarterly Operational Risk Committee and oversee reporting materials.
• Own governance platforms (e.g., Riskonnect) and drive data quality and system enhancements.
• Lead development of risk scenario analysis and input to ERM activities and regulatory responses.
