Job summary

Hyper Recruitment Solutions Ltd is seeking a Head of Biosafety for a leading biopharmaceutical organization in the United Kingdom. The role requires directing the Biosafety function and OECD GLP Test Facility, shaping biosafety strategy, and ensuring inspection readiness with regulators.

You will lead a nine-person biosafety team, drive continuous improvement, and influence international biosafety strategies while ensuring compliance across sites manufacturing biologics and plasma-derived

Qualifications

Degree or higher in virology, biology, biochemistry or life sciences.
Proven experience in GLP-regulated environments with OECD/MHRA GLP knowledge.
Extensive pathogen safety expertise, including viral safety and viral clearance.
Experience in manufacturing or biologics pharma and inspection procedures.
Proven leadership with ability to act as legally responsible during inspections.

Responsibilities

Oversee OECD GLP Test Facility and ensure compliance with OECD GLP, UK MHRA GLP and international standards.
Act as management representative during MHRA GLP inspections and lead responses to findings.
Develop and lead pathogen safety programs supporting products, lifecycle activities and regulatory submissions.
Lead and develop a team of biosafety professionals; foster scientific excellence and continuous improvement.
Represent the site with regulators, senior stakeholders and operations while guiding technical direction.
