Job summary

Meliá Hotels International in London is seeking a Groups and Events Sales Executive to drive business by handling group and event enquiries, maximizing conversion, and delivering exceptional client experiences across our portfolio.

You will coordinate with internal teams and senior leadership, conduct hotel show rounds, maintain client records, and ensure smooth handovers and flawless event execution to optimise occupancy and revenue.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a similar sales or hospitality role.
• Knowledge of Opera or similar systems (desirable).
• Sales-driven mindset with strong commercial awareness.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong organisational and administrative abilities.
• Positive attitude with a proactive and team-oriented approach.

Responsibilities

• Manage group enquiries from initial contact through to confirmation, ensuring profitable outcomes.
• Support the planning and organisation of the Groups and Events function alongside senior leadership.
• Conduct hotel show rounds and actively promote the property to prospective clients.
• Coordinate with internal departments to ensure smooth handover and flawless event execution.
• Maintain and update booking systems, contracts, and client records accurately.
• Monitor and manage the groups and events diary to optimise occupancy and revenue.
• Build strong relationships with clients, ensuring high levels of satisfaction and repeat business.
• Identify sales opportunities and contribute to achieving departmental targets.
• Provide exceptional customer service and handle enquiries or concerns professionally.
