Job summary

Red Recruit is seeking a Global Freight Forwarding Logistics Executive to join the operations team near Heathrow Airport. The role focuses on coordinating urgent shipments across road, air and sea freight while ensuring compliance with customs and transport regulations.

You will liaise with customers, suppliers, airlines and overseas agents to ensure timely, accurate delivery and superior service in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in freight forwarding or time-critical logistics.
• Knowledge of road, air and sea freight operations.
• Experience completing customs entries and shipping documentation.
• Strong understanding of import/export procedures.
• UK Driving Licence required.
• Ability to provide a five-year checkable employment history.
• Right to work in the UK and be able to meet airside security requirements.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate road, air and sea freight shipments from booking through to final delivery.
• Produce and complete shipping documentation including AWBs, customs declarations and transit documents.
• Ensure all shipments comply with customer requirements and regulatory standards.
• Review and verify import and export documents.
• Submit customs entries and ensure accuracy of customs declarations.
• Provide regular shipment updates and excellent customer service.
• Obtain freight rates and routing options from suppliers.
• Prepare quotations for customers.
• Complete accurate job costing and maintain operational records.
• Manage shared operational inboxes and respond to enquiries.
• Prioritise workload in a fast-paced logistics environment.
• Collaborate with internal departments, airlines, overseas agents and transport providers.
