Perform Recruitment is assisting a client near London Heathrow in recruiting an Air Export & Import Freight Coordinator. The role manages air shipments from booking to delivery, coordinating with overseas partners, airlines, UK customers and internal teams to ensure smooth cargo movement and compliance with customs rules.

The successful candidate will handle bookings, quotes, space negotiations with airlines, AWB pre-alerts, tracking, declarations, and adherence to regulatory requirements while

Formación

• At least 3 years' experience in freight forwarding or air freight coordination.
• Knowledge of air freight products and sales.
• Working knowledge of INCOTERMS and HMRC UK Trade Tariff (Volumes 1 & 3).

Responsabilidades

• Arrange bookings from origin to destination with network partners, clients and internal teams.
• Quote shipments, apply rates and source quotes from partners.
• Build relationships with airlines for cargo space and rate negotiations.
• Prepare Air Waybill pre-alerts to avoid delays.
• Track shipments and inform destination partners.
• Complete customs declarations accurately and on time.
• Ensure shipments follow international trade regulations and customs procedures.
• Liaise with HMRC and maintain up-to-date procedures.
• Check deferment accounts and ensure delivery approval.
• Process supplier invoices within 48 hours; manage insurance claims.
• Follow SOPs and maintain operating system data; suggest workflow improvements.
• Support other departments during holidays.
