Job summary

Gi Group (United Kingdom) is recruiting an Export Administrator to support the food manufacturing division in Manchester. The role focuses on accurate export documentation, regulatory compliance, data handling in Excel, and collaboration with technical, quality and supply chain teams to meet customer expectations.

The ideal candidate has food manufacturing experience, strong Excel skills, and a proven ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Previous experience within a food manufacturing environment.
• Experience in an administrative, technical, quality, compliance or export-focused role.
• Strong Microsoft Excel skills and confidence handling large volumes of data.
• Excellent attention to detail and a highly organised approach.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to build relationships across multiple departments.
• Experience working with ERP systems such as SAP would be advantageous.
• Knowledge of food safety standards, HACCP, BRC or export processes would be beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate export documentation and permit applications for international shipments.
• Conduct product traceability exercises and maintain accurate export records.
• Liaise with internal departments to gather information required for export certification.
• Communicate with suppliers to obtain supporting documentation and product information.
• Prepare and maintain detailed Excel spreadsheets and export data.
• Manage documentation through internal technical systems.
• Support export certification processes and liaise with external regulatory bodies.
• Prepare container loading documentation and export packs.
• Assist with internal audits, traceability exercises and compliance activities.
• Support quality and technical teams with reporting, trending and documentation.
• Ensure product information and specifications remain accurate and up to date.
